JOB TITLE: Safety & Compliance Administrator
JOB REFERENCE: HSCA 10/25
HOURS: Based in 5 days out of 7, approx 40 hours per week. Shifts primarily Monday- Friday, please note on occasion weekend work may be required.
JOB LOCATION: Galgorm, however you may be required to travel to other properties within Collection, located in Belfast, Bangor, and Templepatrick.
PAY SCALE: Range from £24,000-£28,000 per annum.
About the role;
The Safety & Compliance Administrator will work as part of the Safety & Compliance Team and report to the Environmental, Safety & Compliance Manager. You will have responsibility for ensuring compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and relevant Health and Safety legislation.
Job Descriptions;
Main duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Providing administrative support to the Environmental, Safety & Compliance Manager in respect of all properties within Galgorm Collection.
* Being able to work independently and carry out daily/weekly/monthly statutory checks.
* Being responsible for the accurate and timely updating of various health and safety and GDPR training records.
* Data input of various health and safety records such as accident investigations.
* Involved in the updating and review of all Risk Assessments.
* Being able to assist with the management of the Safety & Compliance budget.
* Assist the Environmental, Safety & Compliance Manager in carrying out and recording site inspections when required to ensure implementation of policies and procedures.
* Assisting the Environmental, Safety & Compliance Manager in the setup, recording, and delivery of relevant health and safety training e.g. Induction, Fire Safety, Manual Handling, etc.
* Recording minutes at the monthly Health and Safety Committee Meeting.
* Maintaining adequate records on GDPR and Health and Safety issues.
* Assisting with Environmental issues across Galgorm Collection in the drive to 'net zero' by 2030.
* Developing a strong working relationship with managers and other staff around Galgorm Collection.
* Undertaking any other duties as requested by the Hygiene, Safety & Compliance Manager.
* Liaising with external contractors with regard to reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance.
Essential Criteria;
* Have 5 GCSE grades C or above including English Language and Maths or equivalent.
* Have at least 1 year's administrative background. You must have highly developed administration skills and be meticulous in the preparation and delivery of relevant correspondence (Competent in all Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint)
* Strong communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work independently with minimal supervision.
* Be able to demonstrate an ability to work in a confidential manner with attention to detail.
* Be willing to undertake relevant GDPR and health and safety courses to enhance and maintain competence.
Desirable Criteria
Preference may be given to those applicants who:
* Have experience working in health and safety and/or data protection environments.
* Have training/qualifications in health and safety i.e. NEBOSH General Certificate.
* Educated to degree level in a health & safety / business-related discipline.
