About the Role: As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with one child, supporting them throughout the school day to ensure they can access learning and feel safe, supported, and engaged. Your responsibilities may include: Providing 1:1 support tailored to the pupil’s individual needs Supporting children with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs) Assisting with classroom activities and adapting learning materials Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals Building a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil ✅ What we’re looking for: Experience working with children or young people (school, care, youth work, or similar) A patient, calm, and nurturing approach Strong communication and interpersonal skills Resilience and the ability to adapt to individual needs A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs (Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential—personal qualities are key.)
