Shape Futures with the Power of Words and Numbers Teach the Skills That Change Lives As a Lecturer of Functional Skills English and Maths at EKC Training you will teach, train and assess students in a variety of learning environments, ensuring a high-quality learning experience. This role is for 18.5 hours per week with a pro rata salary of £17,365 up to £19,044 per annum Your role will also include providing support to learners to enable them to achieve their maximum potential and to lead as appropriate on designated study programmes and/or courses, with a key responsibility for ensuring the design, delivery and evaluation of programme. The position will be primarily based in Canterbury. You’ll plan and deliver engaging lessons that bring English and Maths to life, while using your strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students. A key part of the role involves tracking and assessing learner progress, using this insight to plan effective support and ensure all students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed. You’ll teach across a range of programmes, from Entry Level up to Level 2, motivating and inspiring learners to reach their full potential. Ideally, you’ll have experience in teaching or have delivered training in the workplace—but this isn’t essential. A ll candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met. Employees can move up the salary scale once one full academic year of teaching for our group is complete, subject to approval. Therefore, internal applicants may qualify for the higher salary scale, although should seek clarification.
