Product & Process Technical Optimiser role at TieTalent
Location: Dewsbury and Caldervale WWTW areas. This is a permanent opportunity within Yorkshire Water's Bio-Resource department to support wastewater processing and regulatory compliance.

Role purpose
The Product & Process Technical Optimiser is accountable for the process performance of a specified number of E&R sites, including STW, STF and all recycling operation, and permit compliance. The role coordinates and optimises wastewater compliance performance, sludge throughput and sustainable recycling at each site. The PPO will provide site operations teams with process expertise, training and support to deliver operational excellence.
Where you fit in
As our Product & Process Technical Optimiser (PPO), you will form part of the area management team, lead the site operations team from a performance perspective, present data in team hubs, lead collaborative sessions, be visible on site, and provide support and challenge to ensure all activity is undertaken safely and in accordance with Yorkshire Water Health & Safety policies.
Responsibilities
* Deliver industry-leading operational performance in 8 key areas: Energy Consumption, Generation Performance, Chemical Optimisation, Permit Compliance, Treatment & Asset Reliability Investigations, Management of Change, Operational Guidance, Cake Recycling and Sludge Permit compliance.
* Lead and support the site operations team to achieve safety and performance objectives.
* Present data in team hubs, lead collaborative working sessions (PSTB, etc.), and be actively involved on site.
* Coordinate and optimise wastewater compliance performance and sludge throughput at each site.
What skills, experience and qualifications you will need
* Knowledge of typical STW/STF asset bases.
* Detailed technical understanding of wastewater and sludge treatment processes and fault finding/optimisation.
* Working knowledge and experience of SCADA/RTS systems.
* Experience of working to challenging business plans and delivering outputs.
* Experience of working with energy reports and continual improvement in a mature production environment.
* Analytical and proficient in key IT systems; experience with Health and Safety Management Systems.
* Ability to prioritise workload effectively in reactive environments.
You will also benefit from having
* WAMITAB qualification as a TCM or willingness to work towards it.
* Financial awareness and experience in commercially oriented or regulated environments.
* Project Management experience; experience with CHP engines and gas systems.
