Hours: Full time – 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Lecturer Scale – £35,112.48 to £41,600.00 FTE (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Our fantastically dedicated Construction team at East Coast College are looking for a Lecturer in Carpentry and Joinery to join them and help continue to drive quality of delivery and student achievement. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tradesperson looking to pass on their knowledge, or a qualified lecturer seeking a rewarding role in Further Education. Your knowledge and experience will develop the practical skills and theory knowledge of our students looking to “turn out” a career in Carpentry and Joinery.

East Coast College requires all staff to hold a minimum Level 2 or equivalent in English and maths, and be able to evidence this.
For those who secure a teaching position but do not currently hold a teaching qualification, you will be required to obtain this within your first three years of employment. The college can provide funding, but you will be required to sign a commitment form and may be required to repay fees if you fail to complete the qualification or exit the organisation within the agreed timeframe. Employees can secure their own funding such as Student Finance if they wish.
