Leading, well established, Multi-site manufacturing business based in NE Derbyshire
Description
* Financial Reporting:
o Prepare and present accurate Consolidated, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements.
o Analyse financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement in profitability and cost management.
o Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on financial performance and potential risks.
* Budgeting & Forecasting:
o Develop and manage the annual budget and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
o Monitor actual performance against the budget, providing regular updates and identifying any variances.
* Cost Accounting & Inventory Management:
o Oversee cost accounting functions, including the calculation of product costs, cost allocations, and margin analysis.
o Ensure proper inventory valuation, including the management of stock levels, raw materials, and work-in-progress inventory.
o Work closely with the production team to assess cost control measures and improve efficiency.
* Internal Controls & Compliance:
o Establish and maintain internal controls over financial reporting and operational processes.
o Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS).
o Coordinate and manage external audits and implement audit recommendations.
* Cash Flow & Financial Planning:
o Manage cash flow to ensure the business has sufficient liquidity for operations and capital investment.
o Forecast cash needs and advise on capital expenditures, investment decisions, and financing options.
* Team Leadership & Development:
o Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring proper training and development opportunities.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, procurement, sales) to ensure alignment of financial strategies with business goals.
* Strategic Decision Support:
o Provide financial analysis and support for key business decisions such as pricing, new product lines, and capital investments.
o Assist senior management in evaluating business performance, including profitability analysis, return on investment, and cost-benefit analysis.
Profile
Technically strong, senior Finance Manager with experience of Multi site operations, team leadership skills as well an ability to support a diverse stakeholder community.
You will be available at short notice for an initial 6 month assignment, possibly temp to perm.
Job Offer
£550-£600p/d, possibly temp to perm.
