Onboarding Coordinator

We’re looking for an Onboarding Coordinator to lead our comprehensive onboarding process – ensuring new colleagues are welcomed, safe, compliant, and set up for success from day one.
What you'll be doing:
You’ll manage the full onboarding journey, from offer to induction, including:
✅ Sending offer letters and onboarding packs
✅ Ensuring robust interview documentation is collected and logged
✅ Managing references, DBS checks, and overseas police checks in line with Ofsted requirements
✅ Maintaining and updating our onboarding tracker and HRIS (Breathe HR)
✅ Creating employee profiles on HR, rota, and payroll systems
✅ Coordinating training profiles, inductions, contracts, IT access, and more
✅ Maintaining excellent communication with new starters and line managers
✅ Uploading and verifying all required compliance documents and ID
✅ Finalising payroll and HR admin before cut-off dates
This role is pivotal to ensuring safe recruitment and an exceptional onboarding experience. You’ll work closely with HR, line managers, training, payroll, and IT to ensure everything is ready before day one.
What we’re looking for:
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Experience in administration, onboarding, or compliance (not necessarily HR related)
Familiarity with safer recruitment processes and DBS regulations would be a bonus
Confidence using systems in day to day activities.
A proactive communicator who builds trust with candidates and teams
