We are looking for a friendly and customer‑focused individual to manage our Great Western Road store, extending the East End Press brand across the customer experience.
Location: Glasgow’s West End
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Rate: £28,000
East End Press is a small design studio in Glasgow, specialising in sustainable, handcrafted homeware, stationery and decorations. Each item is handmade, and printed on recycled paper in India. We’re proud to be stocked in some of the most beautiful shops around the world, and delighted to have our first physical store in Glasgow’s West End.
We are looking for a friendly and customer‑focused individual to manage our Great Western Road store. We love to extend the East End Press brand across all elements of our customer’s experience, from extravagant seasonal displays through to creative in‑store events, so we are looking for someone keen to get involved in all elements of the shop. You will manage the day to day running of the shop, provide exceptional in‑store service, train new staff, create extravagant displays, order stock as required and liaise with the wider East End Press team to ensure the shop is a beautiful and inviting representation of the brand. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator, passionate about fabulous displays, a strong team‑player, and capable of working independently when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Instal seasonal and beautiful retail displays
* Train new staff as required
* Demonstrate product knowledge to support customer selections
* Accurately process sales, returns and promotions
* Plan, replenish and merchandise stock
* Manage stock within the shop, including labelling, counting and reordering products as required
* Keep the shop floor and studio area clean, organised and welcoming
* Handle customer queries and resolve issues promptly
* Organise instore events, working closely with the wider EEP team
* Cashing up and Shop administration
Skills & Qualifications
* Creative thinker, with an eye for detail
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* Good numeracy for accurate transaction handling
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Reliable time‑keeping and effective time management
* Previous management experience in retail, hospitality or customer‑facing roles
