Are you someone with skills in conservation and biodiversity training, supporting people to engage in nature who is interested in supporting people, families and communities to look after and value nature and conserve, restore and protect green and blue spaces?
The Role
Groundwork Wales is offering an exciting opportunity to recruit a Senior Project Officer. Successful candidates will lead on a range of programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support the development and delivery of community nature-based programmes
· Identify and recruit groups, individuals, and partners to participate in programme activities
· Supervise participants to develop environmental conservation and interpersonal skills
· Develop and maintain strategic relationships with a range rof partner organisaitons
· Deliver accredited courses and provide 1:1 mentoring sessions
· Record progress towards targets and assist with report preparation for funding bodies and marketing
· Assist with identifying and applying for additional funding opportunities
Requirements:
· A full current driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes
· Familiarity with community work and community development practices
· A conservation or environmental background – witha degree in a relevant subject
· Availability to work at a range of sites at a range of times

Position: Senior Project Officer
Base Pontllanfraith, Blackwood, with travel across the region
Salary Range up to £27,000 per annum
Contract Tenure: Full Time (Job Share will be considered)
A full driving license and access to your own vehicle is a requirement for the role which entails travel to various sites around the region.
