Job Description
We are seeking a Project Manager for the operational aspects of manufacturing NPI support activities within the Renishaw Group. The role involves managing Manufacturing New Product Introduction (NPI) functional groups to generate Manufacturing Strategies and Gate Reviews as part of the New Product Development PIP process. The Project Manager will act as the local Manufacturing point of contact for seconded resources and ensure resource pools align with Product Division needs.
This position is responsible for Project Management of manufacturing NPI support activities, ensuring prompt and efficient service to divisional product development groups.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Coordinate and facilitate the Manufacturing NPI teams' input within the Product Innovation Process.
2. Coordinate multidisciplinary activities of manufacturing teams to support new product development.
3. Create and maintain manufacturing activity plans and documentation, ensuring adherence to processes and best practices.
4. Develop manufacturing strategies aligned with broader manufacturing goals, identifying risks and proposing mitigations.
5. Manage Gate Review responses, incorporating input from functional areas and assessing project readiness.
6. Report regularly on project status, risks, and mitigations through various communication channels.
7. Oversee seconded resource requirements and work with teams to address actions and mitigations.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate high personal discipline, motivation, and responsibility for project success. They should be proactive, highly organized, flexible, and able to prioritize effectively under pressure. Strong communication skills in technical and business contexts are essential.
