After School Club Leader (Nutley CoE Primary School)
The East Sussex County Council invites applications for the After School Club Leader role at Nutley CoE Primary School. This part‑time, term‑time only position supports the newly established Afterschool Club for pupils aged 4‑11.
Working Hours
12.5 hours per week, Mondays to Fridays 3:15‑5:45pm (term‑time only, 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave). Salary is competitive and pro‑rata to the full part‑time rate.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver play‑based activities daily.
* Maintain a safe, organised, and pleasant environment for children.
* Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and staff.
* Implement current school behaviour and safeguarding policies.
* Prepare a light tea and assist with catering and stock.
* Be familiar with First Aid procedures and be willing to undertake training.
Person Specification
* Calm, nurturing, and well‑organised manner.
* Experience with children and an understanding of play and child development, or willingness to undertake training.
* Consistent, kind care for all children.
* Demonstrated practical play skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Knowledge of health and safety issues affecting club operations.
Health & Safety
This role requires an enhanced DBS check. The school will confirm that the successful applicant is not disqualified under the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018.
