Job Description

Administrative Assistant

Location: Ledbury
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm

Travel Required: Up to 50% travel to offices within region - car required

Do you have the professionalism, organisation, and confidence to help create a welcoming and efficient office environment? At Redkite Solicitors, we’re seeking a polished team player, for our Administrative Assistant position, to support the smooth running of our busy Ledbury office - on a full-time basis.

As the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and callers, you’ll manage reception while providing essential administrative support to the wider team. From assisting fee earners with documents and scheduling to coordinating meetings and maintaining an organised office environment, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the day-to-day operations run seamlessly.

Redkite Solicitors has been trusted to provide exceptional legal advice to individuals, families, and businesses since 1898. As a progressive, full-service law firm, we’re driven by growth and innovation, continuously expanding our reach to meet the diverse needs of our clients. With nearly 300 dedicated professionals, we’re proud to be recognised as an employer of choice, with a number of our lawyers recognised in both Legal 500 and Chambers, reflecting the strength and quality of our expertise. Our ongoing commitment to excellence and expansion ensures Redkite remains at the forefront of the legal sector.

Candidates should be aware that their first day of employment may be based at an alternative Redkite office, for group onboarding. A willingness to travel and spend the day away from your usual place of work is therefore required.

What will you be doing?

* Be the engine behind the office – provide important day-to-day support that keeps fee earners and colleagues organised, efficient, and one step ahead.

* Take ownership of client administration – open and manage files with precision, prepare documents, and maintain accurate, compliant records at every stage.

* Keep communication flowing – coordinate calls, emails, post, and deliveries smoothly to ensure the office stays connected and responsive.

* Create an environment that impresses – keep reception and shared spaces organised, welcoming, and ready to reflect the professionalism of the firm.

* Deliver a client-focused experience – manage meeting rooms, welcome guests, and support visits and events with professionalism and care.

* Keep the office running at its best – maintain supplies, coordinate replenishment, and liaise with facilities to support seamless day-to-day operations.

* Connect teams across the business – work closely with colleagues in all offices and support the wider organisation to help create a collaborative, supportive, inclusive and consistent environment.

* Support the operation behind the scenes – assist with archived files and internal transfers to help keep systems organised, efficient, and compliant.

Requirements

Who we’re looking for?

* Bring warmth, compassion and professionalism – you naturally put people at ease while maintaining a polished, confident presence in every interaction, internally and externally.

* Stay one step ahead – you’re highly organised and able to juggle multiple priorities while keeping the front desk and wider office running smoothly.
* Be someone the team can count on – you take ownership, step in where needed, and build trust through your reliability, kindness and a positive attitude.
* Handle sensitive matters with care – you approach confidential information with discretion, integrity, and professionalism at all times.
* Communicate with confidence – whether face-to-face, on the phone, or in writing, you express yourself clearly, warmly, and professionally.
* Deliver service that makes a difference – you take pride in supporting others, anticipating needs, and creating a positive experience for clients and colleagues alike.
* Use technology with confidence – you’re comfortable navigating Microsoft Office, phone systems, booking systems, and digital tools to stay efficient and organised.
* Embrace flexibility – you’re happy to travel occasionally to support another local office, with a full driving licence required for the role.
* Take pride in presentation – you understand the value of a tidy, welcoming, and professional environment as a reflection of the firm.

Benefits

What is in it for you?

We’re committed to creating a supportive, collaborative, and high-performing legal team. You’ll be joining colleagues who are not only legally excellent but also commercially astute and down-to-earth. We value trust, teamwork and excellence, and offer an environment where you can grow and succeed.

* 25 days annual leave (plus additional days with length of service)
* Option to buy or sell annual leave
* Life Assurance
* Redkite Rewards scheme
* Pension Scheme
* Contributions to gym membership
* Career development and learning support

... and much more
