Title: Commercial Property Solicitor – 5+ Years PQE
Term: Full Time
Location: Congleton or Macclesfield
Purpose of the Role
The Commercial Property Solicitor will manage a full caseload of commercial property transactions, including sales and purchases, landlord and tenant matters, bank funding, and pension-related property purchases. The successful candidate will be experienced enough to handle matters independently while contributing to the continued growth and success of the firm in line with its business objectives.
Key Responsibilities (not exhaustive)

Manage commercial property matters from instruction to completion with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
*
Ensure compliance with all quality, risk management, and regulatory standards, including Lexcel and the SRA Code of Conduct.
*
Generate fee income and manage time recording, billing, and cash collection in line with agreed targets.
*
Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing clear, timely, and professional advice.
*
Take an active role in business development and marketing initiatives to promote the firm and attract new clients.
*
Supervise and support junior colleagues where required, including providing cover during absences.
*
Attend and contribute to group meetings and firm-wide initiatives.
*
Maintain and update all client records and case documentation using the firm’s case management system.
*
Handle all administrative aspects of file management, ensuring files are opened, maintained, and closed in line with internal procedures.
*
Develop new business opportunities through existing client relationships and professional networks.
*
Maintain and enhance IT, research, and communication skills to meet the demands of modern legal practice.

Experience & Education
*
Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE.
*
Demonstrable experience handling a broad range of commercial property matters independently.
*
Strong technical and procedural understanding of commercial property transactions.
