Capital Allowances Manager
Make an impact within our Corporate Tax team at RSM UK. Our national Capital Allowances team supports a wide range of businesses, covering all aspects of the property and investment lifecycle. We’re part of the wider Innovation and Capital Tax Reliefs team based in the South region (Bristol, Gatwick, Guildford, Reading or Southampton). You’ll work in a high‑performing tax compliance and advisory team within a creative, entrepreneurial and supportive environment, working with fantastic clients. Our wider Innovation and Capital Tax Reliefs team is a high‑performing tax compliance and advisory team in one of our South region offices (Bristol, Gatwick, Guildford, Reading or Southampton). You will have the opportunity to accelerate your knowledge, skills and development in a creative, entrepreneurial and supportive team – working with lots of fantastic clients along the way.
Key responsibilities
* Act as an expert advisor, guiding clients with their tax affairs on the compliance side and supporting them when planning matters arise.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients ranging from owner‑managed businesses and middle‑market organisations to large multinational groups.
* Play an active role in business development, proposals and networking events, and make a significant contribution to the overall future development and success of your specialist area, your regional office and the wider firm.
* Develop and support a growing team, act as a mentor and share your skillset and knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills
* RICS/ATT/ACA/ACCA qualified, or equivalent.
* Specialist in Capital Allowances with a mixture of compliance and advisory experience.
* Ability to people‑manage, focusing on building and developing individuals and identifying existing talent within the team.
* Embody our "grow‑our‑own" principle, with an ambition to coach, lead, develop and manage a team.
