Our Procurement function plays a critical role in building the commercial and supply chain foundations to deliver our first SMR and future fleet deployment. Within this, the Property & Facilities category is essential — supporting our expanding office footprint, technical facilities, construction works, maintenance services and future manufacturing capability. In this context, we’re looking for a Senior Buyer – Property & Facilities to lead sourcing activity, develop category strategies, and manage commercially significant supplier relationships across estates, FM, construction, security, utilities and wider facilities services. Reporting into the Procurement Manager, this role will influence strategy, shape supply chain development and help establish a scalable procurement capability within a fast growing organisation. We’ll need you to: Develop, deliver and execute sourcing strategies for Property & Facilities categories, ensuring alignment with cost, quality and schedule requirements. Run end-to-end procurement activity including PQQ, RFQ and RFP development, tender evaluation, negotiation and award recommendations. Build and mature the Property & Facilities supply base, identifying risks, opportunities, cost levers and future capability requirements. Work closely with internal stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal and Corporate Functions to influence early decision making. Translate complex commercial, technical and market information into clear, compelling insights for senior stakeholders. Ensure a high standard of commercial governance, compliance and documentation throughout the procurement lifecycle. Drive continuous improvement across processes, templates, reporting and supplier performance management. This is a pivotal role supporting our operational and organisational growth — you’ll bring strong commercial judgement, a collaborative mindset and the confidence to work in an environment that is fast paced, innovative and evolving. You’ll bring: Experience in Property, Estates, Construction or Facilities Management procurement. Strong commercial acumen, with experience running competitive tenders and negotiating supplier agreements. Confidence working with cost models, supply chain capacity assessments and market analysis. Experience working in regulated or complex environments (energy, nuclear, infrastructure, aerospace, defence or similar). Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence at all levels. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly. Strong Microsoft Excel and Word capability. MCIPS (or working towards) is desirable but not essential. Location & Ways of Working This role can be based from our Derby, Manchester or Warrington office, with hybrid working and regular weekly attendance expected. Some travel may be required depending on business or supplier needs. What’s In It for You?
