Eaton Syalon are recruiting for IT professional to join a organisation in Nottinghamshire as a 2nd Line Support Analyst. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem solving, and supporting colleagues across a busy, fast paced environment.
You must be able to drive to be considered. The role is based in East Nottinghamshire and is easily commutable from Lowdham, Newark, West Bridgford and the surrounding areas
As part of a small but dynamic IT function, you'll take responsibility for ensuring systems, applications and infrastructure run smoothly while also playing a part in projects and improvements. You'll provide hands-on user support, manage accounts and equipment and get involved in maintaining in-house and cloud-based systems.
You must have previous experience in 1st and 2nd Line support roles.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as first point of contact for IT queries, providing 1st and 2nd line support.
* Manage user accounts, permissions, devices and endpoint security.
* Troubleshoot software, hardware and connectivity issues to keep operations running.
* Support the ongoing development and maintenance of in-house systems (including SQL).
* Assist with procurement, installation and setup of IT equipment.
* Contribute to IT projects, upgrades and system rollouts across the group.
* Monitor infrastructure, servers and applications, escalating issues where required.
* Create simple user guides and deliver training to help colleagues use systems effectively.
* Support supplier management, contracts and renewals.
* Apply best practice in IT security to protect networks and data.
We are looking for someone who can combine technical know how with strong people skills. You'll need to be adaptable, proactive and confident in managing multiple priorities. Ideally, you will bring:
* Proven experience in 1st and 2nd line support.
* Knowledge of Microsoft 365, MS Azure, MS Intune and Windows OS.
* Experience of device management, anti-virus and endpoint support.
* Exposure to SQL, SAP, SharePoint, Linux, Apache or PHP would be an advantage.
* Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday.
4 days working in the office and 1 day working from home.
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000
