The role of Attendance Administrator supports the strategic work of the Attendance Manager and Attendance Officers. It is an office-based administration role, under the direction of the Attendance Manager.
Daily duties and routines
1.Maintenance of accurate internal registers throughout the day
1. ·Students in internal meetings or in withdrawal groups e.g. Reflect.
2. ·Internal appointments
3. ·Exams
4. ·Trips and Visits
5. ·Students signing in and out
6. 2.Monitoring the accurate submission of registers and prompting staff to complete them where they have not been done.
7. 3.Collating incidents where registers have not been completed or completed inaccurately so that appropriate action can be taken by the Attendance Manager, Senior Attendance Champion and Designated Safeguarding Lead.
8. 4.Monitoring the security alerts for missing students.
9. 5. Monitor the attendance email inbox.
10. 6. Answer calls from parents reporting their child’s absence, inputting the correct codes into the register.
11. 7Record attendance information onto appropriate systems. (Astar)
12. 8.Record safeguarding incidents in line with school policies onto CPOMS.
13. 9Late desk: Inputting correct code and associated sanction.
14. 10 Follow up of attendance to lunch detention and issuing of Whole School Detention if a student fails to attend.
In addition to the main duties detailed above, an Attendance Administrator would be expected to carry out any further duties as reasonably required by the Principal.
