We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Architect to join our team. Our projects range from multi‑family residential, hospitality, healthcare, and commercial buildings to urban planning, providing a rich and varied work environment.
Responsibilities
* Design Development: Assist in the development of architectural designs, including drafting, modeling, and rendering, under the supervision of senior architects.
* Documentation: Prepare detailed construction documents, specifications, and drawings using CAD and BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
* Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project goals are met regarding design, functionality, and budget.
* Research: Conduct research on building codes, materials, technologies, and environmental impact to inform design decisions.
* Client Interaction: Participate in client meetings, presenting design concepts, and gathering feedback to refine projects.
* Site Visits: Attend construction sites to review progress, ensure compliance with design specifications, and address any issues that arise.
* Sustainability: Incorporate sustainable design principles into projects, aiming for certifications like LEED or WELL Building, where applicable.
Requirements
o Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, with a strong academic record.
o Experience: 5‑6 years of experience in an architectural firm or related field. Internships or co‑op experience are also considered.
Skills
o Proficiency in architectural software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
o Strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes, and construction practices.
o Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with clients and team members.
o Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a team environment.
o Creative problem‑solving skills with an eye for detail.
o Licensing: Registration as an architect is not required but working towards licensure (ARE) is expected.
