Job title: Buyer
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 5pm, with a 1-hour lunch break.

Start date: ASAP, our client is recruiting due to someone retiring in December, an immediate start is available or they can wait if you need to give notice in your current role.
As the Buyer your duties would be:
Raise Purchase Orders Daily: Manage around 10 purchase orders each day from 30-40 diverse suppliers.
Supplier Interaction: Build strong relationships with suppliers to secure the best prices and delivery timelines, ensuring a just-in-time production strategy.
Material Management: Oversee purchasing of essential materials and general consumables like PPE and stationery.
Invoice Management: Sign off on monthly invoices and identify any discrepancies.
Office Administration: Handle daily admin tasks, including timesheets, job numbers, and filing delivery notes.
Key skills required for this role:
Excellent Communication: Confident phone manner and ability to negotiate prices effectively.
Strong Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of successful supplier interactions.
Computer Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) or similar software.
Organisational Skills: Methodical thinker with strong attention to detail.
Time Management: Ability to prioritise tasks based on production requirements.
Team Player: Works well independently and collaboratively.
