Audit and Training Manager - 12 Months FTC
Location: Bolton
Position: 12 months Fixed Term
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
The role will be the Training and Audit lead for the business area, responsible for overseeing internal audits, ensuring regulatory compliance, and developing training programs to enhance employee knowledge and operational efficiency. This includes identifying compliance gaps, creating corrective action plans, and designing training modules to ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
What will your day look like:
The Audit and Training Manager will develop, plan, execute, and report on technical and quality audits across the business. You will drive technical excellence, support handlers and managers, and oversee training development and delivery, ensuring process adherence, quality, and claims handling improvements.
Technical audits will align with internal policies and client requirements, identifying risks and recommending technical improvements. The role also involves coaching and mentoring staff to develop technical competence and managing internal audit processes to increase financial authorities.
Supervision
* Develop and supervise staff to achieve increased financial authority through Competency Frameworks.
* Provide technical guidance to file handlers and contribute to performance reviews and improvement plans.
* Offer feedback and recommendations for process improvements and training needs.
* Collaborate with management to ensure client SLAs and KPIs are met or exceeded.
* Build strong relationships with key stakeholders while maintaining independence.
Audit
* Lead internal technical audits in line with the audit programme and policies.
* Provide feedback and develop remedial action plans with stakeholders.
Training
* Develop and oversee training programs on policies, compliance, and best practices.
* Conduct onboarding and refresher training sessions.
* Evaluate training effectiveness and maintain records for audits and compliance.
Knowledge and Abilities:
* Up-to-date motor claims experience (FNOL, Repair, Hire, TP Capture, Engineering oversight, Total Loss, Technical claims, Fraud, Large Loss).
* Strong understanding of claims processes and client requirements.
* Experience in supervision, mentoring, and audit/file reviews.
* Presentation skills for internal and external meetings.
* Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint is advantageous.
* Management experience and ability to work under pressure.
* Effective communicator at all stakeholder levels.
