Description
Develop, implement, and maintain robust health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory standards across our West Yorkshire facility.
Conduct regular risk assessments, site inspections, and internal audits to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.
Deliver training and provide expert guidance to employees and managers on all HSE matters.
Lead thorough investigations into incidents and near‑misses, ensuring corrective and preventative actions are effectively implemented.
Maintain accurate HSE records and produce clear, data‑driven reports on performance, compliance, and improvement actions.
Work closely with senior management to promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence in safety.
Take ownership of emergency response planning, ensuring procedures are in place, communicated, and regularly tested.Profile
A successful HSE Manager should have:
Proven experience in health, safety, and environmental management within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
A recognised health and safety qualification, such as NEBOSH (or an equivalent certification).
Strong working knowledge of relevant HSE legislation, regulations, and industry best practice.
Hands‑on experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and thorough incident/near‑miss investigations.
The ability to design and deliver engaging and effective training programmes for employees at all levels.
Excellent communication, influencing, and organisational skills.
A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with the ability to drive continuous improvement.Job Offer
Competitive daily rate starting circa £350, depending on experience.
Role operates Inside IR35.
