Position Overview
Year 3 SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) at Crook.
Full‑time, supporting a child with additional needs in the morning and general classroom support in the afternoon.
Position will start after Easter and likely run for the rest of the academic year.
Responsibilities
* Provide one‑to‑one or small group support (1:2:1) to a child with additional needs.
* Assist the child throughout school hours, focusing on behaviour management and de‑escalation techniques.
* Support the classroom teacher with general classroom tasks.
* Promote good behaviour and positive values to enhance teaching and learning.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience working with children with additional needs, including 1:2:1 support.
* Background in care or early years sector preferred.
* Strong de‑escalation and behaviour management skills.
Compliance & Safeguarding
Appointment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and other safeguarding checks.
