Director of Acute Services
Executive Grade F - £106,955 to £141,596 per annum
The Role

Reporting into the Chief Executive, you will be a resilient leader with drive and determination to lead the transformation and reform of Acute Services within the finite resources available to provide sustainable and effective services which meet the needs of our population in a sustainable manner. Services will be aligned to the principles of Realistic Medicine and will harness innovation and digital opportunities to help manage the capacity demand challenges.
You will have a key role to play as a member of the Executive Team to shape, approve and implement the strategic direction, governance, and performance management of the organisation and to fully contribute to and participate in the corporate management and governance of NHS Lanarkshire. You will also contribute to the overall strategic objectives, direction, and performance of NHS Lanarkshire. You will also have the ability to influence thinking locally, regionally and nationally. The Acute Division has a funded establishment of approximately 6000 staff.
To excel in this role, you must possess extensive experience in managing complex acute health services, including significant senior management or Director-level experience. You will need exceptional interpersonal, and strategic, skills, along with the presence to earn the confidence and respect necessary to drive major change. The Director of Acute Services must demonstrate high competence in critical leadership behaviours and will play a key role in advancing NHS Lanarkshire's vision and supporting our healthcare strategy, 'Our Health Together.'
