Construction Solicitor, Excellent Belfast Firm
We’re working with a leading Belfast law firm known for its exceptional working environment, strong leadership, and genuinely supportive culture. Due to continued growth, they’re now looking to appoint a Construction Solicitor to join their highly regarded team.
Role
You’ll join a well-established construction practice working across a mix of contentious and non-contentious matters. The team acts for a broad client base including developers, contractors, funders, and public sector bodies, giving you exposure to high-value, complex projects.
Day-to-day, you’ll be advising on construction contracts, risk allocation, procurement strategies, and project delivery structures. You’ll also support on disputes where required, giving you a well-rounded skill set rather than being pigeonholed early in your career.
This role offers real client exposure. You’ll be encouraged to build relationships, attend meetings, and play an active part in delivering solutions — not just drafting in the background. You’ll work closely with experienced partners who are known for mentoring and developing their teams, providing a strong platform to accelerate your career.
Requirements
This opportunity is open to solicitors with 1 to 7 years’ PQE with experience in construction law or a strong interest in developing within this area. Both contentious and non-contentious backgrounds will be considered.
You’ll need a solid technical foundation and the ability to approach problems commercially. The team values lawyers who can see the bigger picture and provide practical, solutions-led advice. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll be working directly with clients and internal stakeholders across different levels. A proactive mindset is key — someone who takes ownership of their work, is keen to learn, and wants to contribute to a high-performing team.
