Engineering Manager

Elevation Recruitment are working with an engineering company to recruit a Engineering Manager to join their team in Sheffield
As Engineering Manager, you’ll oversee a diverse Engineering function including Process Engineering, Metallurgy, NPI, Machining, Toolroom and Laboratory. Sitting within the Senior Management Team, you’ll provide direction, structure and technical leadership across all areas of the department.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and developing the Engineering team to deliver new products, support production and drive process improvement
* Managing engineering resources and budgets to meet project and departmental objectives
* Working closely with customers to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet specification, cost and time expectations
* Overseeing the full NPI process, from risk assessment to stage gate reviews and documentation
* Identifying and implementing process improvements through new technology and equipment
* Collaborating with Commercial, Production and Quality teams to ensure smooth project delivery and continuous improvement
We’re looking for a confident, hands-on Engineering Manager who can inspire a team while maintaining focus on technical excellence and delivery
* Degree or recognised apprenticeship in an engineering discipline
* Proven experience managing a multi-discipline engineering team
* Demonstrable track record in NPI project management
* Strong background in manufacturing, ideally within cast or forge engineering
* Experience working within a regulated environment such as aerospace, medical or automotive
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational level
