A national defendant law firm is seeking a skilled Catastrophic Injury Lawyer to join its market-leading team in Bolton, representing top tier insurer clients in complex and life-changing personal injury matters. This is an excellent opportunity to handle high-profile defence litigation and shape the strategy on claims involving serious injury, fatalities, and multi-million-pound losses.
Catastrophic Injury Focus
As a Catastrophic Injury Lawyer, you will take ownership of cases involving:
* Traumatic brain injuries
* Spinal cord injuries
* Amputations
* Serious orthopaedic and brachial plexus injuries
* Complex liability and indemnity issues
Responsibilities
* Manage or assist on a caseload of complex/catastrophic injury defence claims.
* Analyse liability, indemnity, and quantum with a forensic level of detail.
* Draft strategic and technical advice for insurer clients.
* Attend court hearings, CMCs, and settlement discussions.
* Collaborate with experts, counsel, and other stakeholders.
* Support and mentor junior lawyers within the team.
About you
* A Qualified Solicitor or CILEX (typically 3-4 years PQE).
* Experience handling or assisting on catastrophic or large loss injury claims.
* Strong understanding of personal injury litigation and court procedures.
* Excellent analytical, drafting and communication skills.
* Defendant experience preferred, but strong claimant-side lawyers will also be considered.
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
