Nursing Assistant – Children’s Complex Care
We are Manchester Local Care Organisation (MLCO), a newly formed public sector organisation that brings together NHS community health services and social care services in Manchester. Our aim is to improve the health of local people by working across organisational boundaries.
The Children’s Community Complex Care Team provides care and support to children and young people with varying healthcare needs, including some who are technology‑dependent, across a variety of settings in the Manchester area.
We are looking for a Senior Nursing Assistant to join this team. The successful candidate will work with registered nurses and carers to deliver high‑quality care packages to families and young people.
Key responsibilities
* Provide personalised support to children and families in community settings.
* Work flexibly across a 24‑hour/7‑day period, travelling throughout the Manchester area.
* Assist with complex care needs, including technology‑dependent patients.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to plan and review care plans.
* Record and report clinical information accurately.
Requirements
* Demonstrated experience in a health or social care setting, preferably with children.
* Strong communication and partnership skills.
* Full driving licence and reliable access to a vehicle for work.
* Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, nights and weekends.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and high standards of care.
