Project Manager
Remote and field-based across the UK
About Us
Blazequel is a leading provider of specialist fire protection services, trusted across the UK and Ireland for our expertise in safeguarding high-risk environments. With over 20 years of experience and offices in Bedford and Londonderry, we offer tailored fire and security solutions designed to protect lives, property, and operations.
Our mission is to empower industry through bespoke fire safety solutions, delivered with honesty, integrity, and unwavering attention to detail. We value respect, innovation, and conscientious service, consistently going the extra mile to delight our customers.
We are now looking for a Project Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
This role will involve regular travel to customer sites across the UK and occasional days in St Neots near Cambridge, depending on project requirements. You will likely be on-site three to four days per week.
The Benefits
- Salary of up to £68,000 per annum DOE
- ‘Growth-by-Sharing’ bonus scheme
- Company vehicle
- 25 days’ annual leave per annum plus bank holidays
- Collaborative team environment
- Latest technology tools
- Company uniform/workwear
- Career development opportunities with professional training, support and certification
This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced construction and project management professional to join our specialist, values-led organisation.
You’ll gain real ownership and autonomy, with the chance to lead complex projects from concept to completion, making trusted decisions on site, and seeing your work directly protect lives, property and operations.
In return, you’ll join a company that genuinely invests in you, combining superb rewards, cutting-edge tools and ongoing professional training with the variety and challenge of working across diverse sites and projects nationwide.
So, if you’re looking for a role where you’re trusted to lead, empowered to deliver and rewarded for your impact, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role
Working closely with the Head of Projects and the wider management and engineering teams, you will play a key role in co-ordinating the delivery of fire detection and suppression system projects from start to finish.
Rather than operating in isolation, you will act as the link between the office, management, and site-based teams, ensuring projects are planned, communicated, and delivered effectively. You will support the co-ordination of engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers across high-risk, mission-critical environments, helping to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and performance.
On site, you will represent Blazequel professionally, overseeing day-to-day activities, monitoring progress, and feeding clear, accurate updates back to the Head of Projects and the leadership team. You will work collaboratively to resolve issues, manage priorities, and ensure projects remain on track.
This is a “hands-on”, visible role within a close-knit team, offering strong support, clear leadership, and the opportunity to grow alongside a developing projects function.
About You
To be considered as our Project Manager, you will need:
- At least two years’ proven experience in construction and project management
- Experience delivering multi-stakeholder technical projects
- A proven track record of progressing from site-based roles into project management
- Experience with M&E, and ideally fire systems, electrical or controls-based environments
- An understanding of RAMS, technical documentation and installation workflow
- An understanding of control systems and installation processes
Other organisations may call this role Fire Systems Project Manager, Engineering Project Manager, Installation Project Manager, Technical Project Manager, or Construction Project Manager.
Webrecruit and Blazequel are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment. Equal opportunities are the only acceptable way to conduct business and we believe that the more inclusive our environments are, the better our work will be.
So, if you’re ready to take the next step in your career as a Project Manager, please apply via the button shown. This vacancy is being advertised by Webrecruit. The services advertised by Webrecruit are those of an Employment Agency
