We’re working with a leading global technology and consulting organisation seeking a Head of Sales in the Utilities Sector to drive significant growth across the UK & Ireland.
This is a high-impact leadership role focused on winning new business, building executive relationships, and shaping go-to-market strategy across the utilities landscape.
The Opportunity
You’ll take ownership of developing and executing sales strategy across a diverse utilities customer base, including:
* Electricity & Gas (Retail, Generation, Distribution & Transmission)
* Water & Wastewater
* Renewables
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll lead complex, high-value deals across IT Services, Business Process Services, and Engineering Services.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a clear sales strategy for the Utilities sector
* Build and maintain strong relationships at CxO and Board level
* Identify, shape and convert large-scale opportunities into wins
* Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, including bid strategy and governance
* Drive new logo acquisition and revenue growth across the UK & Ireland
* Manage and mentor a team of Business Development and Pre-Sales professionals
* Maintain a strong pipeline and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting
What We’re Looking For
* Proven track record of winning large outsourcing / IT services deals within the Utilities sector
* Strong network and ability to influence senior decision-makers
* Deep understanding of consultative / solution-based selling
* Commercially astute with experience structuring complex deals
* Ability to operate in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
* Strategic thinker with a hands‑on approach to execution
Experience & Background
* Extensive experience in the Utilities and/or IT services market
* Recognised as a credible leader or “thought partner” in the sector
* Ideally working for a major global Systems Integrator
* Strong understanding of industry trends, technology, and market dynamics
