About Our Client

Job Description

3. Provide expert ER advice across conduct, performance, grievance, and absence cases.
4. Lead and progress casework with a strong delivery focus, ensuring milestones are met.
5. Manage formal investigations and hearings with full procedural rigour.
6. Use strong problem-solving skills to guide managers toward informed, compliant decisions.
7. Support HRBPs by advising on performance plans and clear, measurable objectives.
8. Act as an ER subject matter expert across the wider organisation.
9. Drive early resolution through coaching, mediation, and proactive engagement.
10. Design and deliver ER and people-management training for managers.
11. Oversee the ER case tracker to ensure timely, risk-based case progression.
12. Collect and analyse ER data, identify trends, and provide insights to improve practice and policy.
13. Contribute to reviewing and developing HR policies, tool-kits, and guidance.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Employee Relations Lead should have:

14. Strong, up-to-date knowledge of employment law, ACAS codes, and HR policies.
15. Proven experience managing complex employee relations casework, ideally within the Civil Service or wider Public Sector.
16. Ability to influence, advise, and challenge senior stakeholders effectively.
17. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
18. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with high attention to detail.
19. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
20. Relevant professional HR qualifications (e.g., CIPD) are desirable.
