About the Role As
Duty Manager
, you will be a vital part of the day-to-day operation of the centreleading shifts, supporting frontline staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a safe, high-quality environment for all users.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations and act as shift leader Ensure high standards of health and safety and customer care Lead and support staff across various departments, including poolside Contribute to programme development, marketing, and customer engagement Oversee security procedures, key holding, and emergency call-outs Support recruitment, training, and development of team members Monitor performance targets, participation levels, and cost-effectiveness Handle cash, reporting, and general administrative duties The Ideal Candidate You will be a confident communicator with a customer-first approach, comfortable managing people and facilities in a fast-paced, public-facing environment.
Essential:
Previous supervisory or team leader experience within leisure, fitness, or hospitality Strong organisational and communication skills Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends Desirable:
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) Pool Plant Operator Certificate Qualification in Leisure Management, Sports Development, or a related area Whats in It for You
