Job Description:
Brocket Hall is seeking passionate individuals to join our Course Maintenance team as Green Keepers at one of the UK's most prestigious golf estates. The maintenance of our two championship golf courses, The Melbourne and The Palmerston, requires dedicated professionals committed to providing an exceptional playing experience year-round. As a Green Keeper, you will be responsible for the upkeep and presentation of the courses, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
Responsibilities
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, aeration, and irrigation under the guidance of the Course Manager.
* Assist in planning and executing maintenance programs, seasonal renovations, and improvements.
* Monitor turf and plant health, applying fertilizers and pesticides safely and appropriately.
* Maintain and repair course equipment and machinery to ensure functionality.
* Work with the team to manage daily course operations, including bunkers, greens, and tee boxes maintenance.
* Conduct inspections to identify areas needing attention and report to the Course Manager.
* Promote a safe and clean working environment for staff and players.
* Engage with members and guests to enhance their experience by providing insights on course conditions.
Requirements
* Experience in a supervisory greenkeeping role; passion for horticulture, landscaping, or golf is a plus.
* Opportunities for continued CPD training through reputable colleges and BIGGA-approved courses.
* Interest in turf management principles and environmental sustainability.
* Willingness to learn and develop skills in course maintenance and landscaping.
* Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
* Effective team communication and collaboration skills.
* Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
* Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to landscaping and maintenance activities.
