Overview
Salary: Up to £42,600 OTE (£30K-£34K basic + £6.6K bonus, uncapped, plus £2K EV bonus + extra bonus for overachieving). Hours: rota basis between Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, plus alternate Saturdays 8:00am-12:30pm.
Lookers Sheffield Ford are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join their workshop. You will work alongside experienced technicians, carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services and performing additional repairs. You will report to the Aftersales Manager, who will provide ongoing support and tools needed to succeed. The role offers career progression and training opportunities, including manufacturer accredited schemes and Hybrid & Electric training.
We are looking for qualified Vehicle Technicians or experienced Mechanics who want to be part of a successful Service team and deliver first-class customer service.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology
* Conducting vehicle service in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and customer requests
* Carrying out any additional repairs once authorised by the customer
* Warranty repairs are per the manufacturer's guidelines and relevant write up is complete
* Taking the customer’s vehicle out on a road test to ensure all faults are rectified
* Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
* Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
* Motor industry experience (brand or non-brand)
* Full and valid UK driving licence
* Self-motivated, able to support the team, ambitious and eager to learn
* Ability to maintain high standards for all vehicles
Although previous brand experience is desirable, it is not essential as brand accreditation training will be provided. Diagnostic, MOT and EV experience is desirable but not essential.
