Overview
Travel Chapter is looking for a new Maintenance Team Member to join our team in Norfolk. With more than 145 properties across North Norfolk coast, we’re seeking someone with experience and know-how to keep them at their best. As our Maintenance Operative, you’ll ensure that all properties are maintained to the highest standards so guests can enjoy a hassle-free stay.
We provide an out of hours service, 7 days a week, up until 9pm, which you will assist with on a rota basis. Any hours worked outside your normal scheduled pattern are paid as overtime, plus an additional £25 retainer whether you handle a query or not.
Your responsibilities
* Delivering high-standard maintenance services to fulfil the needs of our homeowners and guests.
* Promoting a proactive and preventative approach to our Managed Services: staying ahead of issues, and demonstrating the value of our services to homeowners.
* Identifying efficiencies and savings: finding ways to save money and work smarter while keeping Managed Services profitable and affordable.
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and guidelines: following all rules to keep everyone safe.
* Working occasional late shifts in case of emergency call-outs – paid pro-rata if called out (rare).
Requirements / Qualifications
* Previous experience in painting and decorating; basic carpentry and plumbing (tightening loose parts) and general maintenance.
* Ability to liaise with owners and guests regarding maintenance issues and provide a fast, reactive service.
* Basic computer literacy to update systems and respond to queries via email.
* Experience or ability to reseal around shower trays and baths is beneficial.
