2026 UK Graduate Landscape Architectural Career Path

Join Mott MacDonald as a Graduate Landscape Architect and be part of a passionate, award‑winning team working on nationally significant infrastructure and high‑profile urban regeneration projects. You will develop resilient places that empower communities and shape sustainable environments.


Key Responsibilities

* Assist in the creation of high‑quality conceptual, detailed, and technical designs for landscape and urban spaces.
* Support integrated multidisciplinary teams across water, transport, energy, and environmental sectors.
* Produce drawings, presentation materials, specifications, schedules and photomontages.
* Undertake site surveys and contribute to environmental assessments and improvement schemes.
* Provide AutoCAD, Revit and graphic support to enhance project delivery.
* Deliver work to high standards in line with our Quality Management Procedures.
* Engage with Mott MacDonald’s Early Careers Professionals Network and attend development events.


Candidate Specification

Committed and motivated graduates with a genuine passion to make a difference. Minimum qualifications:

* Less than 12 months of relevant experience (excluding placements).
* Minimum bachelor’s degree (obtained no earlier than 2024) or expected to achieve one, in Landscape Design or Landscape Architecture.

Applicants should demonstrate genuine interest in the role and Mott MacDonald through modules studied, previous work experience or research undertaken.
