Assistant Site Manager - Water & Wastewater Projects
Location: Various Sites Across the Thames Valley Region
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Salary: £45,000 + Company Vehicle

We're looking for an Assistant Site Manager to join a busy and growing delivery team, working on major capital programmes designed to future-proof water systems and protect the environment. Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist with the safe and efficient delivery of infrastructure projects.
2. Promote and lead a zero-harm safety culture across all site activities.
3. Manage and supervise Engineers, Supervisors, and subcontractor teams on site.
4. Oversee the organisation of labour, plant, and materials.
5. Prepare and manage key project documentation including RAMS, method statements, briefings, and permits.
6. Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and high-quality project standards.
7. Build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and the general public.
8. Support the delivery of Project Management Plans across environment, quality, safety, health, and wellbeing.
9. Carry out site safety audits and inspections to promote continuous improvement.
About You:
* Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar.
* Previous experience in water or wastewater infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
* Hold a SMSTS certificate.
* Thames Water Passport and knowledge of Temporary Works requirements (or willingness to obtain).
* Strong experience in cost control, commercial awareness, and value management.
* Health and Safety qualification such as NEBOSH (but not essential).
* Confident managing both direct labour and subcontractor teams.
