Exciting Opportunity: Team Leader - Property Management
We are delighted to be recruiting for a professional, enthusiastic, and tenacious Property Manager to step into a Team Leader role within an established residential lettings team. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership position while still managing a small portfolio directly, with the support of an experienced Manager and Assistant Manager.
The role is ideal for someone who is currently overseeing a small team in property management, or for an experienced Property Manager ready to progress their career into a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
* Personally manage a smaller property portfolio, handling maintenance issues, liaising with tenants and landlords, and coordinating contractors.
* Process invoices and provide regular updates to landlords and tenants.
* Act as the point of escalation for complex issues, offering resolution and guidance.
* Monitor team workloads and step in where required to ensure smooth service delivery.
* Encourage service excellence and develop strong client and tenant relationships.
* Monitor team performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
* Work with the Assistant Manager to strengthen relationships with approved contractors and expand the contractor panel.
* Assist with arrangements linked to team events and internal competitions.
Requirements
* Proven experience in property management (minimum 3 years).
* Previous leadership or senior-level experience is preferred.
* ARLA qualification (or equivalent) would be advantageous.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proactive problem solver with strong time management.
* IT proficient with good knowledge of MS Office applications.
Salary & Benefits
* Basic salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (depending on experience).
* On-target earnings: Up to £35,000 per annum (including bonuses and year-end profit share).

Hours & Hybrid Working
* Full-time hybrid role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm.
* Initial training will take place at the company's Head Office in Chelmsford.
* Following probation, hybrid working will be available (split between home and Head Office).
