ABOUT US WS Transportation was established in April 2014 by William Stobart and his son Edward Stobart. Nigel McMullan and Edward Stobart oversee the company’s operations. Initially focused on logistics for the construction industry and high & heavy haulage, WS Transportation has since expanded its offerings to include a comprehensive range of end-to-end solutions. To which has now recently completed its acquisition of EvCargo Distribution and Solutions growing its General Haulage division THE ROLE: Working as part of the W S Solutions team you will be required to support the Transport Planner in servicing the allotted contracts ensuring a high level of procedure compliance. You will be working with large scale well known customer brands and multiple carriers across the UK. THE SALARY: Competitive based on experience SHIFT PATTERN: Monday - Friday, 40 hrs per week WHERE YOU WILL BE BASED: Ashby de la Zouch, LE65 1JR. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Working as part of the WS Solutions team you will be required to support the Transport Planner in servicing the allotted contracts ensuring a high level of procedure compliance. You will be working with large scale well known customer brands and multiple carriers across the UK. Assisting the planner in day-to-day activities Be the main point of contact for collection depots Collate and book collection times with relevant depots Monitor trailer pool across all depots. Proactively monitor all areas of key sensitivity Clear and concise reporting of issues Chase collections and raise an issue log for any anomalies PERSON SPECIFICATION: Previous administration experience Previous data entry experience Previous customer service experience Experience of Windows 10 in a business capacity Previous experience in transport logistics would be advantageous but not essential. Excellent communication skills. Attention to detail. KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED A team player with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
