Our Engineer Surveyors visit client sites to carry out inspections and assess a wide range of plant, equipment, and installations. As a newly recruited Engineer Surveyor you would automatically be enrolled onto our unrivalled induction training programme. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer with good knowledge of the Lift and Crane discipline to join Allianz Engineering, a division of one of the largest insurers and financial services companies in the world.
Responsibilities
* You will anticipate our client's needs and help them ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
* You will work closely with your Engineer Surveyor Team managed by one of our Senior Operations Team Leaders.
* You will prepare examination reports following inspections using electronic reporting to ensure fast and efficient delivery to our clients.
* You will carry out hands-on inspections of plant and equipment such as lifts, material handling equipment, cranes, and construction plant.
* The Engineer Surveyor role can be physically demanding and may require working at height, in confined spaces, lifting, and climbing in hot and cold conditions. It involves exposure to noise and dust, so you need to be comfortable in a hands-on environment.
Salary
Starting Salary £44,213 plus company car and additional benefits.
About You
As an Engineer Surveyor you will assess a wide range of installations, anticipate clients’ needs, and help ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
* Up to date knowledge of compliance and regulatory rules and procedures relating to the Lift and Crane discipline.
* Decision making and willingness to take responsibility.
* Effective short, medium and long-term planning to diarise meetings, visits and work allocation.
* Ability to travel effectively within your local allocated work area.
* Processing documentation and undertaking general administration in a timely manner.
* Willingness to support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors as required.
* Passion for engineering, self-driven with the ability to interact with a variety of clients daily.
* Background in lifts, cranes, and materials handling with hands-on experience in manufacturing, repair, or maintenance.
* Strong customer interaction skills, including good oral and written communication.
Essential Skills
* NVQ Level 3 or above in a mechanical-related subject.
* Full valid UK driving licence.
* Time management skills to self-sufficiently organise your week’s work.
* Comfort with using tablets and smartphones as part of the working day.
