GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work in a supportive school in the Bolsover (S44) area. As a Behaviour Mentor, this role is perfect for someone committed to helping pupils develop positive behaviours, improve their emotional regulation, and succeed in their educational journey. Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor : Support pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs on a 1:1 or small group basis. Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage engagement in learning. Implement behaviour support strategies and monitor pupils’ progress. Assist the class teacher in maintaining a positive and safe learning environment. Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to provide consistent support. Requirements for Behaviour Mentor : Previous experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, adaptability, and a positive, solution-focused mindset. A valid, enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
