The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Business Development Executive to join our client’s growing international sales team. This pivotal commercial role focuses on developing new business opportunities across Chinese and wider Asian markets. You’ll build strategic partnerships, expand market presence, and represent the company at international trade shows and industry events around four times per year. You’ll develop new export channels and partnerships across China and Asia, build and maintain long-term commercial relationships with key distributors and clients, and drive growth and visibility for a leading UK nutraceutical brand on the international stage.
Key Responsibilities
7. Identify and develop new business opportunities in China and other international markets
8. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors, and partners
9. Prepare and deliver tailored commercial proposals and presentations
10. Negotiate and close international contracts and long-term agreements
11. Conduct detailed market research and competitor analysis
12. Attend and represent the company at trade shows and exhibitions in China (approx. 4 per year)
13. Manage a robust sales pipeline and track performance using CRM tools
14. Support revenue growth targets through proactive, customer-focused business development
About You
You’re an ambitious and commercially minded international sales professional with a flair for relationship-building and a passion for global business. You’ll ideally have experience working with Asian or Chinese markets and an interest in the nutraceutical, supplements, or food manufacturing sectors.
You’ll Need
15. Proven experience in international B2B sales or business development (ideally within nutraceuticals, pharma, food, or health)
16. Strong understanding of global markets, with experience in China or Asia highly advantageous
17. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
18. Organised, analytical, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
19. Proficiency with CRM tools and data tracking
20. Willingness to travel internationally, including around four trips to China per year
