Our authors include James O’Brien, Steven Bartlett, Caitlin Moran, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Maria Ressa, Michael Rosen, Zeinab Badawi, David Attenborough, Michaela Coel, Dara McAnulty, Adam Grant, and others.

The role

Ebury’s Smart Hub is looking for a creative, experienced, and proactive PR professional with experience working on conversation-starting books or entertainment brands to join our award-winning communications team as a publicist. You will work with some of the most creative publishing colleagues in a friendly and inclusive environment, joining at an exciting moment of growth for the UK’s largest dedicated non-fiction publisher.

Key responsibilities

* Communicate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders, including sales, marketing, editorial, rights, international colleagues, authors, and agents.
* Build and maintain relationships with high-profile stakeholders such as media, bookshops, and event partners.
* Contribute to the acquisition of new books by providing PR feedback in meetings and pitches, and input into the overall strategic priorities of the Smart Hub.

What you’ll bring

Essential criteria:

* A proven track record of creating standout publicity campaigns in publishing or content-driven environments.
* Excellent writing skills for press materials, event organization, and media networking.
* Well-established media contacts and a curiosity for expanding your network across genres.
* Highly organized with strong prioritization skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Creative thinking to generate buzz and drive book sales aligned with strategic goals.

Application instructions

Please apply with your CV and cover letter explaining why you are the right candidate by 11:59pm on Thursday, 17th July. In your cover letter, briefly describe a campaign that caught your eye and why (max 200 words). Ensure your cover letter is included, as it is a crucial part of our assessment process. It should be no longer than one or two pages.

Salary

Circa £35,000 dependent on experience, plus bonus and benefits.
