Our Role
Are you passionate about data protection and privacy? We’re looking for a Data Protection Analyst to help us maintain compliance with data protection legislation and embed a culture of privacy across our organisation.
Working closely with the Data Protection Officer and wider teams, you’ll play a key role in monitoring, analysing, and improving how we handle personal data. From supporting investigations into data breaches to advising on DPIAs and training initiatives, this is a varied and impactful role for someone who thrives on detail and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the implementation and monitoring of data protection policies and controls.
* Track compliance with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act, and other relevant legislation.
* Assist with DPIAs, data subject requests, and breach investigations.
* Maintain records of processing activities and lawful bases for data use.
* Contribute to internal audits and prepare reports for senior stakeholders.
* Deliver training and awareness campaigns to promote a privacy-first culture.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to uphold data protection standards.
What We're Looking For
* Professional qualifications in data protection (e.g., GDPR Practitioner Certificate, CIPP/E, CIPM) or significant experience in a commercial setting.
* Strong communication and influencing skills, with credibility at senior levels.
* Experience working cross-functionally, even without direct line management.
* Excellent attention to detail, resilience, and a proactive mindset.
* Strong IT and analytical skills, with a customer-focused approach.
* Knowledge of utilities or regulated industries is a plus.
