GP Surgery / Primary CareAbout the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join a friendly and well-established GP Surgery in Worcester.Serving a patient population of approximately 6,000 patients, the practice prides itself on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a supportive and collaborative environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a nurse looking to develop their career within Primary Care while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.Key Responsibilities As a Practice Nurse, you will be responsible for:Delivering childhood and adult immunisationsAdministering travel vaccinationsRunning health promotion and wellbeing clinicsUndertaking cervical screening (smears)Ear care and irrigationPhlebotomy and venepunctureWound care and dressingsECG recordingSuture removalAssessing and managing minor illnesses within your scope of practiceSupporting minor surgery clinicsProviding emergency care when required, including CPR and anaphylaxis managementMaintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring compliance with clinical governance standardsSupporting quality improvement initiatives and practice developmentEssential Requirements To be considered for this role, you must have:?
Registered Nurse (RGN) qualification with current NMC registration? Minimum 2 years' post-registration experience? Previous experience working within a GP Surgery, Primary Care, or Community setting?
Experience managing chronic diseases within Primary Care? Competency in:ImmunisationsCervical Screening (Smears)Ear CarePhlebotomy? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills?
Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently? A proactive and patient-focused approach to careDesirable Skills ? Diabetes Management experience?
Minor Illness assessment and treatment experience? Experience supporting long-term condition management clinicsWhat's on Offer?
