Key Responsibilities
* To support Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapists provide a high standard service to ward‑based patients.
* To work with the Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and ward staff in the implementation and progression of rehabilitation programmes.
* To enable patients to achieve their optimum level of independence in mobility and activities of daily living.
* To be actively involved in the continuation of rehabilitation programmes during weekdays, weekends and bank holidays.
* Participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team assisting with specified duties and to take responsibility for planning his/her own work duties.
You will work alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and other support staff. This team will support you with 'on the job training' based on a structured competency framework.
Within this job role you will have the opportunity to rotate between several areas within the acute hospital inpatient setting. These ward areas include Medicine, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and Long‑term Conditions.
We are looking for candidates with good communication skills and a passion to work with people to help them achieve their potential.
Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of working with people in a caring or enabling environment, although this is not essential.
The successful candidate does need to have a full UK driving licence for a manual car so that they can support with home visits or equipment delivery.
