About the Role
The finance team is a centralised unit working closely with services to provide financial advice and expertise. You will play a crucial role in supporting the team's objectives by building relationships, maintaining value for money, and innovating new ways of working.
We have an exciting vacancy to expand our team, bringing in new experience, knowledge, and ideas to build on our success.
Our work environment is hybrid, combining office days with remote work. You will be expected to work from the office at least two days per week as part of a team.
You will collaborate with colleagues in the finance team, focusing on cost management, budget review, and identifying efficiencies across the revenue budgets of the Adults and Health Partnerships Directorate.
About You
We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and motivated individual with a proven track record of delivering solutions. You should be a fully qualified accountant (or qualified through experience) with significant experience in accounting and commercial activities, including funding models, management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting. Experience in business partnering across finance and non-finance teams, preparing budgets, and forecasts is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders are also required. Previous experience in a Local Authority setting is not mandatory.
Please include in your cover letter or supporting statement how your skills and experience meet the requirements.
For more details about this role, contact Stephen Thynne via email [emailprotected]. Please do not send your CV to this email.
Note: We will not consider candidates requiring sponsorship for this position.
