Uniform Education is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Berkshire. The school provides a nurturing, structured, and highly individualised learning environment for pupils with Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).
About the Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the cognitive, communication, and sensory profiles of your pupils
*
Lead and inspire a class team of Teaching Assistants to deliver consistent, person-centred education
*
Use AAC systems such as PECS, Makaton, and high-tech communication devices to support pupils’ communication and engagement
*
Work collaboratively with therapists and other professionals to integrate therapeutic strategies into everyday learning
*
Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and annual reviews
*
Create a positive classroom culture where every small step of progress is celebrated
What We’re Looking For:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with SEN teaching experience (special school experience desirable)
*
Strong knowledge of SEN teaching strategies, sensory learning, and communication approaches
*
Experience supporting pupils with SLD, ASC, and/or PMLD
*
Ability to lead and motivate a class team
*
Resilience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education
*
