This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen eye for cleanliness, a positive attitude, and the ability to work as part of a busy team. To be considered as a Catering Assistant, you should have experience working in a catering, hospitality, or food preparation role and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. Responsibilities Assist with the basic preparation of food and refreshments, including some cooking. Support the Kitchen and Catering Supervisor and colleagues during service and school hospitality events. Serve meals and refreshments to pupils and staff in line with school requirements. Assist with the washing up, daily cleaning, and maintenance of the kitchen and equipment. Help with the setting up and clearing away of dining room furniture as needed. Follow all food safety, health and safety, and school policies at all times. Undertake any additional duties as required by the Head Teacher to support the smooth running of the school. Be willing to attend training as required for the role. Candidate Requirements Previous experience in a catering or kitchen assistant role (school or similar environment desirable). Ability to work efficiently in a team and follow instructions. A strong focus on hygiene, safety, and professionalism. Flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic about supporting a school community. Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply).
