Job Purpose
To ensure that Smiths Concrete products are delivered to customers in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner.
To uphold the professional standards of the company at all times.
To ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, Working Time Directive, Road Transport Law, and company procedures as part of your daily routine.
Key Accountabilities
* Maintain the vehicle and all entrusted equipment in proper condition, cleanliness, and ensure all records are correctly maintained according to legislation and company procedures.
* Follow relevant company policies and procedures related to personnel and administration.
* Adhere to health & safety, working time directive, and road transport regulations.
* Manage waste disposal, water discharges, and dust emissions in accordance with Environmental procedures.
* Perform deliveries efficiently and cost-effectively.
* Ensure timely and consistent attendance at the operating unit to meet company requirements.
* Perform any other duties as directed by your line manager.
Job Requirements
* Clean Cat C Heavy Goods Licence (LDVL - HGV2).
* Comprehensive knowledge of road transport law, working time directive, and relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.
* Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
* Ability to identify and report issues effectively.
* Motivated and capable of working independently.
