Responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead and take responsibility for the day-to-day operational functioning of the Immunisation and Child Health services.
In addition, Locala is the lead provider in the West Yorkshire Vaccination and Immunisation Collaborative (WYVIC), and the post holder will play a key role in supporting the development of the vision across West Yorkshire.
The role is essential in shaping, sustaining, and developing the future of the West Yorkshire Vaccination and Immunisation Collaborative and the Child Health Service. You will be accountable for leading, managing, coordinating, and developing a team of colleagues working across immunisation and child health services to deliver the service in line with the local service specification.
The Immunisation team is responsible for carrying out the Childhood Immunisation Programme in North Kirklees and school immunisations across Kirklees in various settings, including health centres, GP surgeries, and schools. Our Child Health team covers North Kirklees, ensuring each child has an active care record, and supports screening programmes, immunisation, and Healthy Child Programme services.
You will also work with key partners to ensure the efficient delivery of national immunisation campaigns in schools and the local community. The role requires excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to act as a change agent.
